Learn to Lead course
The Learn to Lead course is new for 2020 and is run by Mountain Training. It is for those who have experience either seconding trad, or leading sport or indoors, and want to learn to lead on a structured course. It would be suitable for those who want to hone their leading skills to enable them to learn additional skills after the festival such as multipitch climbing.
"Now in its fourth year, Women's Trad Festival is fast becoming a landmark and highly sought-after date in the climbing diary. Last year's 3-minute sell-out was - unbelievably - topped this year by tickets being snapped up immediately. In the time it took to refresh the page, the tickets for Women's Trad Festival 2019 were already sold out!"

"The fourth annual Women's Trad Fest took place in the sunny Peak District last weekend. It’s a festival largely aimed at beginners and learners, many of whom can already climb but want to learn trad skills in a safe, friendly environment. This year it was run as a BMC event to deliver what must be one of the bigger climbing festivals of its type to be found anywhere."
"It was really the incredible energy with everyone there. It’s a very huggy festival. I must have had about 300 hugs over the weekend.
We aim to create a great space for people to realise the possibilities that trad climbing affords them, free from the typical expectations of what a festival event is about."

Over 300 women (and men!) attended the fourth annual festival, with a plethora of
new ticket types available.
