About
I live in Devon (with Mayar, my gorgeous Border Sprollie) and teach Outdoor Education, primarily to young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
My climbing aspirations are to:
Stay safe.
Have fun.
Eat cake.
I'd consider myself to be a very average climber at best, despite having been climbing for over 30 years. I enjoy everything from bouldering to alpine mountaineering, but have a marked preference for well protected, over-graded, 3 star routes, on crags with a café or tea shop nearby.
I'm not particularly ambtious by nature; in the words of Colin Kirkus,
"Going to the right place, at the right time, with the right people is all that matters; what one does is purely incidental.”
Outside of climbing I enjoy mountain biking and canoeing, photography and baking.
